The office of Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Movement for Change, has strongly refuted claims circulating online about his alleged appointment by former President John Mahama.

In a statement signed by Kwame Owusu Danso, Esq., Special Advisor on Communications to Mr. Kyerematen, the office dismissed the letter as a “malicious fabrication” designed to mislead the public.

The document, purported to appoint Mr. Kyerematen as Acting Director for the establishment of the 24-hour Economy, was labeled as entirely false.

“This blatant attempt to create confusion and misinformation will not be tolerated. Please, treat this fake appointment letter with the contempt it deserves,” the statement emphasized.

The office condemned the circulation of such misleading content and urged the public to exercise caution by verifying information through credible and official channels.

“The spread of falsehoods undermines our political discourse and creates unnecessary distractions. We call on all citizens to remain vigilant and help combat misinformation,” the statement added.

The viral letter has sparked significant public interest, with many questioning its authenticity.

However, Alan Kyerematen’s office has categorically disassociated itself from the claims, reaffirming the need for responsible sharing of information.

This development comes amid heightened political activity as the Movement for Change continues to position itself as a key player in Ghana’s political landscape.
