
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed deep sorrow over the recent fire outbreak that ravaged parts of the Adum Market in Kumasi, leading to significant losses for traders.
During a visit to the Central Business District of Kumasi to inspect the extent of the damage, Dr. Bawumia described the devastation as heart-wrenching.

He sympathized with the affected traders and assured them of his unwavering support in helping them recover from the setback.
"My prayers are with all those affected by this unfortunate incident. The scale of devastation is truly heartbreaking, and I want to assure the traders that I will do everything within my power to support the rebuilding effort," Dr. Bawumia stated.

He further called on the government to provide swift and adequate assistance to the victims to enable them to restore their businesses and livelihoods.
"I urge the government to act promptly by offering all the necessary support to help the traders get back on their feet. Their resilience and hard work are crucial to the economic vitality of Kumasi and the nation as a whole," he added.

Dr. Bawumia’s visit to the affected areas underscores his commitment to standing with Ghanaians in times of adversity and ensuring that those affected receive the necessary help to rebuild their businesses and lives.
