BREAKING NEWS: Prez. Mahama nominate first batch of Regional Ministers

President John Dramani Mahama has officially submitted the names of his first batch of nominees for Regional Ministers to Parliament for vetting and approval.


The nominees, representing various regions across the country, were forwarded through the Speaker of Parliament in accordance with constitutional requirements.


The list comprises distinguished individuals selected to lead regional administrations and ensure effective governance. The nominees and their respective regions are as follows:


1. Ali Adolf John - Northern Region



2. John Kwadwo Gyapong - Oti Region



3. James Gunu - Volta Region



4. Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey - Eastern Region



5. Ibrahim Tia - North-East Region

6. Dr. Frank Amoakohene - Ashanti Region



7. Akamugri Donatus Atanga - Upper East Region



8. Charity Gardiner - Ahafo Region



9. Salisu Be-Awuribe - Savannah Region



10. Linda Ocloo, MP - Greater Accra Region


This diverse lineup reflects the President's commitment to ensuring inclusive and effective regional leadership, with an emphasis on achieving national development goals.


The nominees are expected to appear before Parliament's Appointments Committee for vetting, after which the House will decide on their approval.


If confirmed, they will play pivotal roles in coordinating government policies and programs in their respective regions.
