The Communication Minister-designate, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has hinted that the much-talked-about Covid-19 App which was launched by her Ministry last year did not cost the country any money.
The Minister-designate who doubles as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West Constituency also explained that the app was a contribution by a software development company as their way to support the Covid-19 fight.
She said “I have said so several times, the Covid App didn’t cost the exchequer, the consolidated fund, the Government of Ghana a pesewa. We didn’t pay anything for the Covid App.
She made this known when she took her turn at the Appointments Committee in Parliament on Monday.
