The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) has announced a major revenue mobilization exercise dubbed Operation Keep The Lights On.

The initiative, set to run from Wednesday, January 15, to Friday, January 31, 2025, will cover all ECG operational areas.

According to ECG, the exercise aims to recover arrears from customers across all categories and inspect prepaid meters to ensure their integrity.

The company has emphasized that self-reconnection after disconnection is a criminal offense, cautioning defaulters to adhere strictly to the rules.

To facilitate the exercise, regional and district offices will operate with a lean staff to ensure full participation by top management and staff in the operation.

ECG has called for cooperation from customers and the general public, reminding them that the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission’s LI (2413) grants the company full access to installations.

The company remains committed to its mandate of providing reliable power to its customers.
