The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has emerged as a standout performer at the just-concluded 2024 Internal Audit Agency (IAA) Conference, sweeping four prestigious awards.
The event, which took place at the University of Professional Studies in Accra, recognized EOCO for its exceptional adherence to best audit practices in the 2023/2024 auditing year.
EOCO was honored in four key categories: Best Audit Committee (Accountability Institutions), Best Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Compliant Institution (Accountability Institutions), Best Internal Audit Unit (Accountability Institutions), and Best Head of Covered Entity (Accountability Institutions).
The Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency, Dr. E. O. Osae, commended EOCO for its exemplary work, praising the agency for setting a high standard in audit compliance.
He urged EOCO to continue its commitment to excellence in the future.
The awards are a significant recognition of the leadership of COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, EOCO's Executive Director, and the diligent efforts of the agency's Audit Committee and Internal Audit Unit.
Their unwavering dedication to upholding best audit practices has not only earned them these accolades but has also reinforced EOCO's reputation as a leading accountability institution.
Other notable awardees at the ceremony included the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), the University of Cape Coast, and the Bui Power Authority.
