ThinkNewsOnline can confirm that Ambassador of Government's Flagship Programme, 'Free SHS', Rahim Banda has finally received a vehicle from the Ministry of Education since assumption of office in 2018.
According to the young Ambassador, the vehicle presented will help ease the problems associated with the transportation of materials to remote areas across the country .
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Banda said "With every passing day, and all the work I have done with the support of my team, it is gratifying enough to know that we have gained some recognition from the masses. Problems with transportation of our materials to remote areas became an issue for the team"
The Ambassador who doubles as a Ghanaian Actor lauded the Ministry of Education for their quick response to his request adding that such gesture will go a long way to support his 'Back To School' project.
Rahim Banda also revealed that since assumption of office, he and his team have managed to donate about close to two hundred thousand books (200,000) to schools within deprived areas and some schools in numerous Zongo communities.
He said “We have donated close to two hundred thousand books (200,000) to schools within deprived areas and some schools in numerous Zongo communities. We see this gesture as a motivation and an opportunity to do more”
On their part, Representatives from the Ministry of Education assured the young Actor of their support adding they will ensure that he reaches out to millions of people across the country.
ThinkNewsOnline has gathered that the vehicle was donated by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and was handed over to him by the Ministry of Education.
