Ga Mantse Foundation partners TUDEC to support some Muslim communities during Ramadan

The Ga Mantse Foundation in partnership with TUDEC have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting some Muslim communities in need, emphasizing the importance of unity and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan.


Justice Julia Naa-Yarley Adjei Amoah, Chief of Staff of the Ga State, has lauded the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, for his unwavering commitment to supporting the Ga State and fostering unity among different religious groups.


Speaking at the maiden "Ramadan Feed The Family Project", Justice Amoah highlighted the importance of extending support to the vulnerable and strengthening communal ties.

Addressing the gathering,


Justice Amoah emphasized that the Ga Mantse Foundation is a people's foundation dedicated to reaching out to the Ga community and beyond.

"The Ga Mantse Foundation reaches out to the child, the youth, the needy, the vulnerable, and the sick. We are in sync with today's gesture, and on behalf of the Ga Mantse, the Ga Traditional Council, and the entire Ga State, I express our sincere gratitude to TUDEC for partnering with us on this important project," she stated.


Justice Amoah underscored the Ga Mantse's belief in unity, noting that King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II embraces all people, regardless of religious or social background.

"Whether you are Muslim, Christian, or a traditionalist, we are one people created by God. That is why the Ga Mantse will show love to everyone," she remarked.


The "Ramadan Feed The Family Project" focused on providing food and other essentials to Muslim families observing the holy month of Ramadan.

Justice Amoah stressed the importance of such support, especially during the fasting period.


"In the Bible and the Quran, we are reminded that it is more blessed to give than to receive. No labor of love goes unrewarded. Through this project, we are helping to strengthen our Muslim brothers and sisters so that they can complete the Ramadan fast with strength and grace," she added.


On his part, Cafer Tepeli, President of TUDEC and representative of Galaxy International School, highlighted the spirit of solidarity that defines the Ramadan period.


"Our motto is putting people first — regardless of religion, faith, nationality, or background. For us, people come first," Tepeli stated.

He noted that TUDEC collaborates with several international organizations, including Time Trap in Germany and the Netherlands, to extend support to communities during Ramadan.


"We are not only offering food packages but also sharing meals and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and unity during this sacred time," he added.


Mr. Tepeli underscored the deeper meaning of Ramadan beyond fasting, describing it as a period of healing, helping one another, and reinforcing social bonds.


"Ramadan is about healing, helping each other, and protecting the bonds of brotherhood. It is in this spirit that we have come here to extend a helping hand to those in need," he said.

He praised the Ga State for its legacy of justice, unity, and cultural richness, highlighting the Ga Kingdom’s respected position within Ghana.


"The Ga Kingdom has long been a symbol of justice and unity. Your great kingdom carries a legacy of civilization that has earned respect not only in this region but throughout Ghana"


"The strong leadership of the Ga State and the deep sense of solidarity among its people continue to offer peace and prosperity in this land," Mr. Tepeli remarked.


Mr. Tepeli emphasized that supporting those in need is a duty rooted in faith and humility.

"Kindness grows when shared, and when love and brotherhood are strengthened, society stands on a firmer foundation. We believe it is our duty to support those in need, wherever they are," he noted.


He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, and the Ga Mantse Foundation for their collaboration in making the event possible.


The initiative reflects the shared commitment of TUDEC and the Ga Mantse Foundation to improving lives and fostering unity within the community.

Some beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Ga Mantse and TUDEC for the timely support.


They prayed for Allah’s blessings upon King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and TUDEC, acknowledging the positive impact the project has had on their lives during the fasting period.


The Ga Mantse Foundation's initiative reflects the Ga Mantse's commitment to unity and compassion, reinforcing the values of togetherness and mutual support within the Ga State.
