The newly appointed Managing Director (MD) of GCB Bank PLC, Farihan Alhassan, has paid a courtesy call on King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse, to formally introduce himself and seek the King’s blessings as he assumes leadership of the bank.

The visit, held at the Ga Mantse’s palace, also served as an opportunity for the bank to express gratitude for the peaceful business environment in Accra and reaffirm its commitment to supporting the development of the Ga State.

Speaking during the visit, Farihan Alhassan acknowledged the significance of seeking the King’s guidance and blessings before embarking on his leadership journey.

“As a royal from Tamale, I understand the cultural importance of seeking the support of traditional authorities before taking on new responsibilities. We are here to introduce our new leadership and show respect to the custodians of the land on which we operate,” he stated.

The Managing Director further assured King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II of the bank’s commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift the Ga community.

He announced that GCB Bank would open the Ga Mantse Foundation’s account and pledged a GH¢100,000 seed fund to support the foundation’s initiatives, including girl-child education and other social interventions.

In response, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II congratulated Farihan Alhassan on his appointment and urged him to foster a collaborative work environment within the bank.

“A united team produces the best results. I encourage you to work closely with your staff to drive the bank’s success,” the Ga Mantse advised.

The King also took the opportunity to congratulate Professor Joshua Alabi on his appointment as Board Chairman of GCB Bank PLC, expressing confidence in his leadership to steer the institution towards greater achievements.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II assured the bank that the Ga Mantse Foundation’s account would be opened with GCB Bank to strengthen its impact on the community.
