Ghana Immigration Service begins next phase of recruitment, invites successful candidates

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has announced that the 2024 recruitment exercise, which was advertised on August 7, has advanced to the next stage, with successful applicants being invited for further screening.

According to Michael Amoako-Atta, Assistant Commissioner of Immigration and Head of Public Affairs, the next phase will include a body selection, document assessment, and medical screening.

The body selection process, set to begin on Monday, November 11, 2024, will evaluate candidates' physical suitability.

This will be followed by a thorough inspection of personal documentation, including birth and academic certificates.

Candidates who pass these assessments will then proceed to a medical examination, the costs of which will be covered by the candidates themselves.

"The exact venue for the screening will be disclosed directly to the candidates," Mr. Amoako-Atta noted, emphasizing that communication will be direct to avoid unauthorized fees.

He also cautioned the public against paying money to individuals claiming they can facilitate recruitment, underscoring that GIS does not endorse any such practices.

The GIS urges the public to adhere strictly to official channels for information, ensuring that only genuine, qualified candidates progress through the recruitment process.
