Ghana Post welcome Rita Sraha as new CEO

Ghana Post, the nation’s leading postal and courier service provider, has appointed Rita Sraha as Managing Director (CEO) and Stephen Kingsley Bennieh as Deputy Managing Director in charge of Finance and Administration.


The appointments form part of a strategic effort to reposition Ghana Post as a technologically advanced, financially stable, and customer-focused organisation in an era of rapid digital transformation.


The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, introduced the new leadership during an official visit, outlining a bold vision for modernising Ghana Post.


He stressed the need for the postal service to evolve beyond traditional mail delivery to become a fully integrated logistics, financial, and e-commerce service provider.

Hon. George highlighted key pillars for transforming Ghana Post, including:

  • Embracing Innovation: Investing in digital solutions to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

  • Prioritising Staff Welfare: Improving career development, training, and working conditions.

  • Implementing a 24-Hour Service Model: Establishing round-the-clock operations to meet growing customer demands.


New Leadership Profiles

Rita Sraha – Managing Director (CEO)


A Chartered Accountant and experienced business consultant, Sraha brings extensive expertise in financial management, corporate governance, and strategic leadership.


Her mandate is to drive fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and digital innovation across Ghana Post's operations.


Stephen Kingsley Bennieh – Deputy Managing Director, Finance & Administration


Mr.Bennieh, a legal and financial expert, will oversee financial planning, compliance, and administrative operations. His leadership is expected to enhance financial accountability and governance at Ghana Post.
