The Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has revealed that, the government is very keen in digitizing all sectors of the economy to help bridge the growing trend across the world.
According to the minister, the government has made it a major priority in enhancing all various sectors of the country in a modern digitized way to improve on the country’s economy.
The Minister who doubles as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Ofoase Ayerebi was speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the Huawei Digital Ghana Workshop for the staff of the Ministry of Information in Accra on Monday 20th September, 2021 to enhance their ICT training skills.
Mr Oppong Nkrumah stressed that, despite the central government’s efforts in enhancing digitization, other ministries including the Information Ministry is also setting up departments for digitization and training of staff in the sector as well.
He added that, they are happy to partner Huawei in building capacity of the management and staff of the ministry as he says continuous learning is the surest way to keeping government agenda on course thus the training for the staff and management.
On his part, the Public Relations Manager (PRO) for the Huawei Ghana, David Appiah also expressed the companies resolve to help the government achieve its agenda of digitization.
He promised that Huawei will enhance the capacity in ICT of over 10,000 citizens.
Mr. Appiah hinted that with the support from government, he is confident that Huawei will achieve its target very soon.
