The source says Mr. Noonan will begin a month-long tour of Africa with his business counterparts, and top of their agenda will be to speak to Togbe Afede on the possible take over of Accra Hearts of Oak.
The source quoted Mark Noonan as saying “Hearts of Oak is a great club with wonderful history that needs proper investment, with its huge fan base, we can turn things around to enhance the fortunes of the Oaktree”.
If discussions go through, Mr. Mark Noonan and his team will acquire 100% shares of the club, which will then make them the biggest shareholders of the club.
Mr. Mark Noonan spent less than 1 year with the club as Chief Executive Officer and is credited for the rebranding of the club with the introduction of a new club logo.
Mark Noonan is also credited for his role in the Umbro kit deal for the club.
The source stressed that Mr. Noonan is planning on investing millions of dollars into the club with his partners if given the go-ahead by the Togbe led Board of directors.
Togbe Afede has in the past given hint of selling his stake in the club should any investor show interest.
