The Greater Accra Muslim Community has honored the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, with a special Jummah prayer session at his official residence.

The sacred gathering sought divine wisdom and blessings for the Ga Mantse and his sub-chiefs as they continue to lead the Ga State.

Clad in symbolic white attire, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II warmly welcomed the Muslim delegation and joined them in observing the holy prayers.

The session included Khutbatul Quran prayers led by Abdul Ganiyu Inyass, the Imam of Tijjaniyyah Gbawe Gonse.

Imam Inyass invoked the guidance and mercy of Allah upon the Ga Mantse and his council, emphasizing their role in fostering unity and peace in the region.

Speaking at the event, Inner City Imam, Imam Iddris, highlighted the significance of Jummah prayers to the Muslim faith.

He explained that the communal Friday prayers are a testament to Islamic principles of unity and equality, bringing Muslims of diverse backgrounds together in worship.

He also noted the spiritual renewal these prayers offer, strengthening the bond between individuals and the global Muslim community.

Sheikh Ibrahim Amartei, Greater Accra Regional Imam Representative, expressed gratitude to King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II for his hospitality and active participation in the prayers.

He expressed optimism that such collaborations would fortify peace and unity within the Ga State.

The Ga-Dangbe Mantse of Pokuase, Nii Gamu Pokuase, voiced confidence in the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, expressing hope for a stronger partnership between the President and the Ga Mantse to build a united Ga State.

He urged sub-chiefs to prioritize their duties and avoid being swayed by political influences.

Ga-Dangbe Youth Leader and Chief of Sowutuom (Ga Central), Nii Ofori Tibo Osabu Akwei Gbesange, also called for collective efforts to achieve lasting peace and unity in the Ga-Dangbe State.

“Uniting the Ga-Dangbe State should not be a one-man effort but a collective endeavor"

"When achieved, it will transform the perception of the Ga State and its people,” he said.

The solemn event underscored the shared commitment to fostering harmony and development in the Ga State, with prayers serving as a powerful symbol of solidarity and spiritual renewal.
