The Minister-designate for Communications, Digitalisation, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, has refuted claims that he is disrespectful, stating that he is only firm in expressing his views.
Appearing before the Appointments Committee on Thursday for his vetting, the Ningo-Prampram MP dismissed assertions that his outspokenness equates to a lack of respect.
“I am not a disrespectful person. I have opinions, and I state them forcefully,” he asserted.
Mr George stressed that his firm stance on national issues should not be mistaken for insolence, adding that his upbringing has shaped him into a principled and outspoken leader.
“I believe my parents are proud of the son they raised and the man I have become,” he remarked.
He further highlighted the importance of robust discussions and fearless articulation of ideas in effective leadership and policy-making.
His nomination has generated significant public interest, with many closely watching how he will steer the ministry if approved.
