Ghanaian Gospel Musician, Joe Mettle has disclosed that he will not accept sponsorship from any alcoholic brand.
Speaking on an Accra-based radio station on Thursday, he said "It’s a no for me"
He noted that mostly, brands sponsor shows they can align with.
It will be recalled a Supreme Court ruling has upheld the decision by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana to prohibit celebrities from endorsing alcoholic beverages.
This regulation, implemented to protect public health and curb underage drinking, aims to reduce the influence of high-profile personalities on young audiences.
The Supreme Court's agreement with the FDA underscores the importance of promoting responsible drinking habits and protecting vulnerable populations from the potential harms of alcohol consumption.
