
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has announced significant changes within the Ghana Police Service, reassigning senior officers to key directorates and regional commands.
In a statement issued by the Public Affairs Directorate of the Police Service on March 19, 2025, the service confirmed that the new appointments take immediate effect.
The changes are part of efforts to strengthen the operational efficiency and strategic direction of the police force.
The reconstituted Police Management Board includes:

Mr Yohuno was appointed IGP by President John Dramani Mahama on March 13, 2025, and was sworn into office the following day.
He succeeded Dr George Akuffo Dampare, who led the service from October 2021 until his departure.
During his swearing-in at Jubilee House, President Mahama urged Mr Yohuno to strengthen law enforcement efforts, enhance professionalism, and uphold public safety.
The reshuffle is expected to enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of the police service in addressing national security challenges and improving public trust.
