
Renowned Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah and her longtime manager, Samira Yakubu, have achieved another milestone in their academic journey.
The duo has successfully graduated with Master of Arts degrees in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana.
Dressed in their academic gowns, the two were all smiles as they arrived at the graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievement.
This latest feat marks another chapter in their educational partnership.
Prior to pursuing their master's degrees, Jackie and Samira earned their Bachelor of Arts degrees together at the same institution, with Jackie majoring in Political Science and Samira in Information Studies.
Jackie Appiah, celebrated for her stellar performances in films such as Divine Love, The Heart of Men, Power of a Woman, Turning Point, and Blind Lust, continues to make waves in both the entertainment and academic arenas.
Her acting career has been decorated with numerous accolades, including Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards and Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 2007.
Most recently, at the 14th Ghana Movie Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in January 2025, Jackie added another trophy to her collection, winning Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Red Carpet.
Jackie Appiah and Samira Yakubu’s academic accomplishment is a testament to their dedication, proving that passion and perseverance can lead to success both on and off the screen.
