Lands Commission holds send-Off party for outgoing Executive Secretary, Benjamin Arthur

The Lands Commission has honoured Surv. Benjamin Arthur, its outgoing Executive Secretary, with a heartfelt send-off party to celebrate his 30 years of dedicated service and impactful leadership.


At the ceremony, held in Accra, Deputy Executive Secretary (Corporate Services), Mr. Jones Ofori-Boadu, shared his personal experience working alongside Mr. Arthur, describing it as a deeply fulfilling journey.


He wished him continued success and a long life as he moves into the next phase of his life.

Mr. Maxwell Adu-Nsafoah, Deputy Executive Secretary for Operations, also paid tribute to Mr. Arthur, expressing appreciation for the immense support he provided during their time together at the Commission.


Speaking on behalf of the Regional Lands Officers, Dr. Pius Asumadu, Western Regional Lands Officer, reflected on the significant contributions Mr. Arthur made to strengthening regional operations.


He expressed profound gratitude for Mr. Arthur’s leadership, professionalism, and commitment to the Commission’s mission.

Several staff members also took turns to share fond memories, highlighting Mr. Arthur’s role as a mentor, leader, and pillar of professionalism.


As part of the celebration, various gifts were presented to him as tokens of appreciation for his service.


Visibly moved by the tributes, Mr. Arthur delivered a speech thanking the Lands Commission’s management and staff for their unwavering support throughout his career.

He reflected on his journey and encouraged the team to continue working diligently toward achieving the Commission’s vision.


Adding a personal touch to the event, Mr. Arthur’s daughter was present to celebrate and honour her father’s remarkable career.

The event concluded in a warm atmosphere of camaraderie, marking the end of an era and celebrating a leader whose contributions have left an enduring legacy at the Lands Commission.
