Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) running mate, has conveyed his best wishes to all candidates participating in this year’s West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), which commenced on August 19, 2024.
A total of 460,611 candidates are sitting for the exams this year.
In his message, Dr. Prempeh encouraged the students to draw inspiration from the achievements of their predecessors and to aim to maintain or surpass those standards.
He also underscored the NPP’s commitment to enhancing opportunities for the youth, including access to tertiary education and improved job prospects.
"We understand that the future of our nation lies in your hands, and we are committed to equipping you with the tools to become the leaders of tomorrow," Dr. Prempeh affirmed.
He concluded by praying for the candidates to have retentive memories during their exams and urged them to make their parents and the nation proud.
