Haruna Iddrisu is a respected political figure and the current minority leader of the NDC in Ghana's parliament.


He is an MP in Ghana, where he represents his constituency, Tamale South.


Not to forget, the politician is also a famous barrister in Ghana.




The ambitious politician is an active member of the Ghana Bar Association.


He is also the National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress Party, a position he has held for 18 years.


The politician has been in four sequential parliaments, namely the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th parliament.



He was born on September 8, 1970, at Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana. He has always had a soft spot for politics and leadership because after joining campus, he became active in student politics.


He was elected as the President of the National Union of Ghana Students.

However, the politician joined the University of Ghana in 1993 for his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology.

Career

His debut in politics began in 2002 when he became the National Youth Organizer for the NDC. Interesting to note, he has held this position since 2002 because of his talent in leadership and governance.


Haruna Iddrisu MP position for the newly formed Tamale South constituency journey kick-started in 2004.


In 2005, he took part in the planning of the World Summit and participated in the Tunis Summit.
