National Youth Wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has strongly condemned the recent actions of the Democracy Hub demonstrators, referring to them as "hooligans" and calling for their immediate arrest and prosecution.
According to the youth wing of the party, the behavior of the protesters, who took to the streets to demand accountability and transparency in governance, was disruptive and posed a threat to public peace and safety.
The NPP National Youth Wing argued that while peaceful demonstrations are a fundamental right in any democracy, the manner in which these protesters conducted themselves was unlawful.
The party called on security agencies to take swift action against those involved, ensuring they face the full consequences of their actions under the law.
This statement comes amid rising tensions between the government and civil society groups advocating for greater democratic reforms and transparency.
