Renowned Ghanaian Actor and Creative, Albert Odartei Jackson-Davis, has passed away following a battle with an undisclosed illness.
The news of his death, confirmed on Saturday, September 14, by Akunu Dake, CEO of Heritage Development, has triggered widespread grief in the entertainment industry.
Jackson-Davis, best known for his roles in films like Heritage Africa, The Storm, and the hit comedy My Very Ghanaian Wedding, was celebrated for his compelling portrayal of elite characters and his poised, articulate acting style.
Beyond his on-screen accomplishments, Jackson-Davis was also influential behind the scenes, serving as Deputy Executive Director of PANAFEST during the 1990s.
Akunu Dake, in a heartfelt Facebook post, honored his longtime friend, writing, "Rest in peace, my good friend and colleague... Able Deputy Executive Director during our PANAFEST years."
Jackson-Davis’ contributions to Ghanaian cinema and his leadership in the creative industry will be fondly remembered.
