The Minister of Finance, Dr. Amin Adam, has announced that One Hundred and Sixty-Nine (169) factories are fully operational under Government's 1 District 1 Factory (1D1F) initiative.

This milestone was shared during a townhall meeting at the GNAT Hall on Tuesday, reflecting the significant progress made under President Akufo-Addo's administration.

Dr. Adam highlighted the importance of these factories in driving industrialization and economic growth across the country.

The 1D1F initiative aims to decentralize industrial development by establishing at least one factory in each of Ghana's districts, promoting local production and job creation.

"We have 169 fully functional factories working under the 1D1F," Dr. Adam stated.

He also emphasized the initiative's role in enhancing the manufacturing sector and boosting the economy.

The success of these factories, he stated marks a pivotal step towards achieving the government's vision of transforming Ghana into an industrialized nation.

He stressed that 1D1F is one of the reasons, Ghana is exporting more.

The townhall meeting served as a platform for discussing the progress and impact of the 1D1F initiative, with stakeholders expressing optimism about its potential to drive sustainable development and improve livelihoods across the country.
